Charity Insurance ‘drives’ down costs for community food project
specialist, UK Charity Insurance, has picked up the van cover for a local social enterprise.
The Community Fruit & Veg Project, based in Waterworks Road, approached
the broker following a business exhibition held in the town in September.
Jean-Paul Dunin, Project Manager, says “We know that
UK Charity Insurance loves charities and, like us, they believe in local trade. So they were an obvious choice when our van insurance came up for renewal”.
Nick Day, Marketing Executive, for the broker comments “The Community Fruit & Veg Project does a great job in encouraging healthy food choices, sourcing from local producers and supplying people with affordable and seasonal fresh produce. We’re pleased to be involved in this small way by finding them a better insurance deal. We get a real buzz from helping charities and social enterprise”.
Charity Insurance, which already supports another local cause (the Hastings Pier campaign), provides fleet cover for The Community Fruit & Veg Project’s 3 delivery vans and hopes to be given the opportunity to quote for the remainder of their business insurances this year.
