Broker donates over £1000 to pier campaign
An insurance scheme for local residents and businesses in Hastings, offered by insurance firm
UK Charity Insurance, has raised its first £1000 for the pier campaign.
Whenever a customer calls for a quote and mentions Hastings Pier, the broker donates 25% of its earnings on the resulting policy to the Hastings Pier & White Rock Trust.
Neil Franklin, Managing Director of
UK Charity Insurance, said “We’re so pleased to have broken the £1000 barrier but we won’t rest there. As long as people keep calling for quotes and mentioning the pier we’ll keep sharing our earnings”.
Ray Chapman, Chairman of the Hastings Pier & White Rock Trust, was pleased with the first donation. He said “UKCI’s support is much appreciated. This is a great way to help the restoration and people should give
them a try when their renewals fall due”.
In addition, Directors and staff held a Dress-Down Day last Friday to raise funds for the Trust. The company matched the amount raised by individuals and this added an extra £100 to the coffers.
